Sup Marajó Expedition Reaches your Fifth Edition

Natural beauties, culture and the strengthening of bonds through sport reveal the charms of the largest maritime fluvial island on the planet

The year was 2018, when the superação team had the idea of ​​mapping adventure and community-based tourism itineraries for the practice of stand up paddle on Ilha do Marajó. The team formed by Thaissa Scerne, Ruy Moantalvão, Fabrício Manduka (Sup Division) and the photographer Elias Costa, visited for three days the communities of Pesqueiro, Céu, Cajuuna, some farms, the beaches of Barra Velha and Pesqueiro in Soure and Vila of Joanes in Salvaterra.

Since then, four sup expeditions have been carried out, sup workshops with children from the community of Pacoval, in Soure, a documentary, in addition to the exchange of knowledge, environmental awareness, community-based tourism and belonging.

The Marajó Sup Expedition is a unique opportunity to discover the largest maritime fluvial island on the planet. Edition number five takes place from November 24th to 26th, in the municipalities of Soure and Salvaterra, on the East Coast of the island.
